Launch’Pad Skills Workshops and Bootcamps
The Launch’Pad suite of programs is for serious entrepreneurs and startups that are looking to raise capital and grow their sales. Launch’Pad doesn’t offer funds directly, but can be your stepping stone to accessing other funds at the Venture’Challenge and by getting investor-ready.
The top six companies from Launch’Pad go on to compete for serious cash and prizes at Venture’Challenge, including opportunities to present at the Banff Venture Forum in Banff; the Canadian Financing Forum; the Rice Alliance Forums; MentorCamp; and the VA Angels super angel network.
Investor Pitch-Ready Certification Program
Intense, one-on-one training and investor pitch support designed to help businesses run through the gauntlet of presenting to investors in a supportive environment. Once completed, Innovate Manitoba works its network to find potential investors suitable for your needs.
One of the largest and most active angel investor groups in Canada, with an established Winnipeg branch. They have been investing in startup companies since 2003 and have funded over $30 million. The VA Angels super angel network exists throughout Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna and Scottsdale, Arizona and is accessible to promising startups that come through Innovate Manitoba’s programs.
Banff Venture Forum
The Banff Venture Forum is one of Canada’s premier company financing events. It provides emerging technology companies with unparalleled visibility and an opportunity to present to leading private equity and venture capital investors from across North America. All winners of Innovate Manitoba’s Venture’Challenge have the opportunity to present at the Banff Venture Forum.
Canadian Financing Forum
The Canadian Financing Forum is Western Canada’s premier access to capital event. The Forum features presentations from about 30 of Canada’s most promising technology companies to some of the most active North American venture capital firms. All winners of Innovate Manitoba’s Venture’Challenge have the opportunity to present at this Forum.
Mentorcamp is a multi-day event held in cities and regions across the globe designed to validate your business model, prepare you for future investment, and introduce you to the people you need to make your business thrive everywhere on the planet.
All winners of Innovate Manitoba’s Venture’Challenge have the opportunity to present at MentorCamp – Halifax.
The Manitoba Knights are a local investor group with about $10 million of investable capital. They focus on investing in Manitoba-based companies with early-stage technology and high growth potential. Contact us to learn more.
The Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship is Rice University’s nationally recognized initiative devoted to the support of technology commercialization, entrepreneurship education, and the launch of technology companies. They host a number of financing forums related to clean tech, life sciences, and technology. All winners of Innovate Manitoba’s Venture’Challenge have the opportunity to present at one of their forums.
